Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Store Manager role is an essential role within Metro Bank and among customer facing colleagues, enabling us to work towards our amazing Vision of creating ‘FANS’ of Metro Bank and growing to 200 stores, 5,000 colleagues and 1,000,000 customers by 2020.
As an Assistant Store Manager at Metro Bank you will support the Store Manager in the day to day running of the Store teams and in providing an exceptional level of service to each and every customer. Coaching and developing your direct reports including Cashiers and Customer Service Representatives will form a large part of the role along with risk management and events within your Store. You will also support the Local Business Manager with all business enquires as necessary.
Responsibilities will include:Being a dedicated and passionate brand ambassador of your Store and the company, providing an exceptional level of service to turn our customers into ‘FANS’.Supporting companywide events such as grand openings, charity/educational events and recruitment days.Maintaining excellent Store standards at all timesResponding in a timely manner to Customer & team requests/concerns as applicable and ensure we keep our promises. Be the first port of call for “bump it up”.Providing quality and regular training and mentoring for the Store team including AMAZE(ING) reviews and 1:1s, supporting the Training and Competence of Colleagues.Delivering Operational Excellence including risk, resource and cash management for the counter and CSR teams and supporting the Store overall.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required:A real passion for delivering amazing customer service and for developing others.A proactive worker who looks to go above and beyond their regular daily duties.A proven ability to work in a fast paced and every changing environment.An individual who welcomes innovation and the challenges provided by a growing company.Proven background working as a Manager or taking the lead in a fast paced retail bank or established retail brand.An understanding of the ‘Risk Control Framework’ for a Retail Bank including cash management and the opening/closing procedures within a store.Evidence of consistency and progression in career to date.
