• On-going training and support• NVQ2 qualification in care desirable• Experience in working with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour is preferred• Shifts 9pm – 7am and 10pm to 10am.
Our client is currently recruiting for friendly, caring, reliable and conscientious support workers with the flexibility and desire to work within a rota.
Your role will be supporting adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and / or mental health issues in their own homes.
You will be supporting people with their everyday tasks, including personal care to promote independence.
You will need to demonstrate your ability to:
• Treat all service users with dignity care and respect and respond to individual needs and choices• Adhere to policies and procedures in relation to all work undertaken and in general standards of conduct• Comply with all relevant legislation including health and safety responsibilities• Communicate clearly and effectively with all team members to ensure continuity of support is provided to service users• Liaise with carers, relatives, and colleagues and other agencies using a professional manner• Maintain accurate written records for service users as directed within each service• Adhere to schedules of work (rotas) as directed by Team Leader/ Manager including day, evening, weekend and bank holidays.
