Deputy Chief Engineer - Information Assurance / Development of cryptographic productsLocation - North West London Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience A very exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Chief Engineer to take management of a team of multi-disciplined engineers and be responsible for budgetary adherence, and production of engineering artefacts to cost, schedule and quality.Deputy Chief Engineer - Information Assurance Key Responsibilities:- Resource management to ensure that projects are resourced with appropriately skilled individuals, including recruitment, contracting, outsourcing, development and training.- Line management and development of staff to create a high-performing engineering team.- Optimise engineering capability and efficiency.- Improvement in engineering capability by refinement and instantiation of processes and adoption of suitable tools; selection of methodologies appropriate to complex real-time embedded developments in a defence environment.- Liaison with customer and various approvals bodies to achieve product sell-off.- Technical representation to suppliers to establish suitability of technologies, and resolve any design and process issues.- Work as part of a wider management team with peers in other engineering teams, program management, supply chain management, production and production test to deliver programs successfully.Essential Skills and Experience:- Significant experience in managing multi-discipline engineering teams to successful product delivery.- Strong technical knowledge in the Information Assurance sector, through development of cryptographic products.- Engineering process definition, instantiation and improvement, suitable for application to complex real-time embedded development programs for military systems- An excellent self-starter with strong team leadership and communication skills- Ability to act decisively in a fast-paced environment- Experience of detailed hands-on development in one or more of software, systems, hardware, mechanical, FPGA development.- Experience of developing and qualifying against stringent environmental conditionsApply Now or send you cv or call 01923 225581 for further information.
