We have an opportunity which has opened for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with experience of managing an integration facility at the Bedfordshire site.There are several roles within the Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team that will be looking at developing the Integration, Test & Trials plans on several key architecture changes. Working closely with the Supplier Management Teams, System Design Teams and System Design Authority Teams the successful candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of the I&T DOORS database and its associated artefacts. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of I&T Engineering using tools such as DOORS and working within a large systems engineering team, taking ownership of tasks from an early stage, and working with a large degree of autonomy. Specific areas will include; Integration, Test & Trials scoping and development of the new capability through the development lifecycle, understanding requirements driven testing, instrumentation and trials analysisResponsibilities Include:- Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. - Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. - Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. - Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies.Essential required skills and experiences include:- Experience of managing an Integration Facility; HW, SW & Vehicle systems- Experience of compliance with all UK Environmental, Safety & Health legislation; esp. - 1974 HSAW Act and 1990 Environmental Protection Act Development of Verification & Acceptance (V&A) statements - Test planning and testing against Def-Stan 00-35, 23-09, 08-41, 59-411, ISO15288 - Vehicle Systems Integration Weapons systems integration & live firing tests - Development and planning of test environments; interface test equipment, data recording - HWIL testing, test development, HWIL definition and simulator/emulator definition EMC concepts and Control Plan assessment- Use of DOORS to generate and manage V&A statements - Knowledge of MILCAN - Network Architectures Electrical and Mechanical engineering knowledge/background.Each candidate will be required to attain full SC clearance prior to starting.
