4412 - Regional Communications Engineer

Our Client is a leading supplier of security, time and attendance and communication solutions that include CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm, Electronic Article Surveillance, Staff Protection, Paging and Time and Attendance.They design, install, finance, monitor and service security solutions with industrial, government, commercial, residential and national account customers. Our Client provides the best of both worlds, a local company with global resources and one of the most trusted names in security.They are currently seeking a Regional Communications Engineer to cover an area approximately 60 miles radius of Northampton. e.g. Northants, South Nottinghamshire, West Midlands and Home Counties – Hertfordshire, Bucks etc. The role is permanent.Nominally based in North London and reporting into the GB Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of existing Minder/Paging System across the region.Approximately 80% of the end clients are in the healthcare sector e.g. Hospitals, Health centres etcYou will be part of a three man standby call out rota covering from Birmingham to South Wales.You will be an accomplished Communications/IT Engineer with experience of communications and paging systems.You must have in depth radio and electronics experience to a component level not just experience with plug and play equipment. Additional experience of having worked in the security or communications industries would be very beneficial.Our client is supportive of ex-military personnel and therefore this role will appeal to someone who has served in the Royal Signals. In terms of hardware knowledge and skills you should have a good knowledge of installation and servicing, you should be highly competent in the use of hand and power tools.You should have an excellent knowledge of all Windows Operating Systems supported by sound IT knowledge and experience, and be IT/PC literate well versed in MS Office, Access etc.You should be very familiar with TCP/IP, Ethernet Networks and have experience of database administration using Access/SQL.You should be a team builder and a team player, highly organised, efficient and effective.You will be a challenger, results driven, flexible and open to new ideas and able to manage challenging situations.You will operate in accordance with our clients Business Values and Business Conduct Procedures and able to lead by example,You must have a full UK Drivers Licence.Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes of applications we receive.
