Travel Coordinator

Permanent  for Team Tours Direct in Swansea

Purpose of Post

As the Travel Coordinator, you will be responsible for being the primary support person all logistics processes and enquiries, ensuring smooth execution of logistic operations for each event, overseeing accommodation and travel schedules, managing B2B relationships and resources, identifying new products and supporting the sales team in providing quality up to date information; whilst always aiming to improve existing procedures.

A Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain is highly desirable; however you will also have experience in a coordinating large groups of travellers. Key understanding of the travel market is imperative to this role. This is an office based role however you will be encouraged to build long term customer relationships with your suppliers where as possible. The ability to present, manage and oversee a diverse range of products and services are essential with a keen interest in sport is essential.

Primary Objectives of the RoleData driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking.Relevant experience in logistics and operations primarily dealing with large groups traveling internationally.Maintain relationships with suppliers by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending options.Identify improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information for use by the Sales and Marketing teams.Maintain technical knowledge by researching the market; staying up to date with current sporting news; establishing personal networks; displaying a keen interest in sporting activities.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Summary of Main Responsibilities and Activities3-5+ years of operational/analytical experience gained in logistics, event organisation or operations management.A proven track record of dealing with a variety of suppliers with great organisation and attention to detailYou will be confident organising and arranging travel and accommodation across the world to large groups of travellers ensuring customers receive the best possible service, ensuring retention and customer satisfactionYour role will include a large degree of event coordination, ensuring all the clients requirements are metYou will be expected to manage your own schedule and workload so that the necessary projects are prioritised You must have the ability to work to strict deadlinesBuild and develop existing relationships with all suppliers as to make a positive contribution to the Company’s portfolio of products and services.To work closely with the Operations Director and the Marketing Director, ensuring a high level of liaison with, and understanding of, their requirements to maximise customer satisfaction, with introduction, modification and augmentation of products and services.Develop good communications with all other areas of the business and with customersContribute towards the development of a high Company image of professionalism, competence and customer satisfactionAny other duties, as required by your Line Manager, in accordance with the nature of this position
