Cleaner Team LeaderSalary: £14,767.00 per annum Highbury College are looking for a Cleaner Team Leader based at Highbury Campus for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The post holder will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high level of cleaning and hygiene.About the College Highbury College is the No.1 general further education college (GFE) in the South East. In addition to the salary quoted, Highbury College offers a benefits package that includes a final salary pension scheme, generous holidays, continuous development opportunities and access to an on-site gym and nursery facilities.Main Duties:Oversee all aspects of the cleaning operation on any of the College sites as required.Manage all requirements of the cleaning services in line with the service level agreement.Maintain weekly records, report all absenteeism and additional hours worked and provide general feed back to Cleaning Supervisor/FM with details and justifications.Support and guide cleaning operatives to achieve required service levels.Identify requirements and provide/arrange adequate training and direction of all cleaning staff direct reports.Maintain suitable records of cleaning staff training and requirements.Undertake regular checks/audit reports with recommendations and manage performance.Instruct and direct cleaning staff as required to ensure they work as efficiently and effectively as possible within their pre defined areas. Essential criteria: Good standard of education.Fully certificated trained in COSH and Health & Safety & risk.NVQ Level 2 Customer Care or commitment to work towards and must obtain within 6 months in post.2 years previous experience of cleaning and 6 months supervisory level.Ability to act as team leader and work well in teams but also to work independently with minimum supervision as a team leader.Ability to meet targets within set timescales with drive and passion.Ability to work independently with no supervision as a cleaner.Previous experience of operating industrial cleaning equipment.Fully knowledgeable on all aspects of cleaning techniques, equipment and materials.Ability to train other team members on cleaning techniques and in use of equipment and cleaning materials.Effective interpersonal skills.Ability to use IT systems to: send/receive e-mails, issue material order requests on Excel spread sheet forms, maintain electronic records & record holidays.Medically fit.Application Deadline: 13.11.14 To apply, please follow the job board application instructions.
