Quality Manager

Permanent  for McBride in Yorkshire

McBride, a leading Household and Personal Care Manufacturer, are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join the team at their site in Yorkshire.Role description Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Manager is responsible for leading the site quality functions and maintaining a programme of continuous improvement in all aspects of product safety and product quality and materials.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with our key customers through positive engagement/responding to technical reviews, site visits and site audits.Implementing and developing processes to achieve significant reductions in customer complaints, harmonising the processes of cross functional departments.Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and Development to seek opportunities to improve the management systems.Conducting work studies, analysing data and presenting proposals.Responding pro-actively to quality issues such as internal/external product failures and ensuring effective preventative and corrective actions.Demonstrating a structured approach to using best practice techniques such as risk assessments, HACCP, 8 D's and CI tools in order to meet customer and company requirements. Recommending strategies for further development of the site.Being a Champion for Customer Quality on behalf of the site and assisting the senior team in involving, engaging & challenging personnel at all levels of the business.Project managing the whole implementation process for agreed quality projects ensuring all work carried out meets current legal and site Health and Safety requirements.Maintaining all relevant Standards and SOP's to the current level of application.Executing change management processes and procedures ensuring that SOP's and work instructions for the area are reviewed and communicated o reflect the changes.

Who we're looking for To be successful in your application for Quality Manager, you will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a science or related subject. You will have a proven track record of Quality Management within a fast moving consumer goods manufacturing environment. This will be underpinned by a good working knowledge of Lean and CI processes. You will also be familiar with best practice techniques such as benchmarking and models of excellence.About McBride McBride is the leading supplier for household, textile washing and personal care private label products in Europe.
