Employee Relations Adviser / HR Advisor

Full & Part Time Opportunities Available

Role Summary:

Our HR Advisers are at the very core of what we do.Sitting at the forefront of our service proposition, they remotely support line managers to successfully manage and resolve ER issues, from the routine in nature to the more complex and highly sensitive.Transcending the traditional “show and tell” approach to manager, focused HR advice and guidance, our Advisers coach managers to get it right first time. They contribute to building manager capability, gradually reducing longer term reliance on HR professionals for the more routine and manageable ER issues they regularly encounter.

We don’t try to impress our service users with our encyclopaedic knowledge of codes of practice, statute or case law. Instead we help managers to focus on the practical steps they need to take to start managing the situation. 

We then coach and support them to successfully work with their employees to explore and resolve issues proactively yet incrementally, one step at a time.

Right now, we’re recruiting for HR Advisers at all stages of their careers.

Ideal Candidate: Ideally, but not essentially, we’re looking for CIPD or equivalently qualified applicants with significant HR case management experience at HR AdviserHR OfficerHR ManagerHR ConsultantHR Business Partner level or similar. We also have vacancies for those in the early stages of their HR career, so whether you’re just starting out in the world of HR or a seasoned pro, if you have the characteristics we’re looking for and the passion to succeed, then we’d love to talk to you!


Successful individuals will play a key role in providing pragmatic and commercial HR advice and guidance online and by telephone to our clients.Whilst the advice and guidance you’ll provide is the essence of our product, you’ll also need to be as equally diligent and accurate when it comes to recording case notes and other critical pieces of management information.

Confident operating within a client-facing environment, where the way in which you provide great advice is as important as the advice itselfSolid experience in the application of company policies and procedures and HR best practiceProficient with and comfortable using telephony and computer systems, particularly the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)A commercial and pragmatic approach to providing HR solutions to difficult issues that arise within challenging situationsConfident to communicate with managers and business owners at all levels, with a style that is clear, engaging, coaching and collaborativeDriven to continuously improve and to encourage and support colleagues and the business to surpass expectationsAttentive to detail with an unquenchable appetite for qualityAbility to work flexibly to deadlines and respond positively and constructively to feedback.
