Solicitor / Assistant Solicitor (Clinical Negligence)
Our client, a leading Law Firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Assistant Solicitor.
The purpose of the role is to provide a quality, tailored and supportive legal service to a range of clients. Assisting clients with their specific needs in Clinical Negligence claims with a value of up to £250,000.
The role (generic) :Responsibility for managing a mixed caseload of client matters subject to appropriate supervision (where necessary).Providing clients with high quality, proactive legal advice, which meets client needs.Displaying excellent file management skills to meet the needs of the business.Providing assistance to other team members.Managing own time effectively to facilitate cash flow and credit-management systems, such as time recording, lock-up, cash-flow, profitability and billing.Achieving the firm's fee time recording and fee targets and assisting and enabling others in the team to do so.Delivering legal services in a manner which is cost-efficient for both the client and firm. Maximising the use of technology to enhance performance.
The role (specific) :Screening new enquiries.Being sympathetic to the particular needs of disabled, elderly and bereaved clients.Advising generally on related issues including complaints about medical treatment, inquests and applications for medical records.Acting for Claimants from obtaining initial instructions through to achieving a resolution to the dispute and managing their expectations throughout.Running own caseload under supervisor (where necessary).Specialising in particular areas of clinical negligence work as required by the Department.
Qualifications / Experience required :A Law Degree.Completion of Legal Practice Course (LPC).Completion of training contract.Minimum 2 years PQE.Proven experience in delivering Clinical Negligence work.
The salary for this role is dependant on experience.
