One of the UK’s oldest Private Banking houses are looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to work as part of the second line of defence within the Bank’s risk governance framework.
Based in the West End, the Compliance Officer will assist in the preparation of the Compliance Monitoring Plan(s) and conduct tests to ensure that those detailed are completed on schedule, to the required compliance standards, adequately recording results and any remedial work required. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of a monthly Compliance Report to be submitted to the Bank’s Board via the Head of Compliance and maintaining oversight of the complaint handling process, volumes and all Treating Customers Fairly Management Information.

Demonstrate an up to date knowledge of all compliance issues.
An ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, to both junior and senior staff of the Bank as well as external bodies.
An ability to prioritise workloads effectively, operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
An ability to write compliance policies and procedure manuals and overseeing their implementation.
12 – 24 months of experience of working in a compliance team / environment.
Experience of writing policies and procedure manuals and overseeing their implementation.
Experience of effectively using compliance monitoring plans.
