Part-time Accounts Assistant - Great Dunmow

Job Title: P.T. Bookkeeper Location: Great Dun mow A small and highly successful business on the outskirts of Great Dun mow is currently seeking an immediately available and professional bookkeeper initially on a part-time basis for 2 days per week but may become full-time over the coming months. This role is initially on a temporary ongoing basis where the opportunity to be placed permanently lies within the success and hard-work of the selected individual. You will be responsible for the day- to-day running of the accounts department offering guidance and support to the rest of the team. The ideal candidate will have: * Excellent knowledge of Sage Line 50 * Conversant with Microsoft Excel * Nominal ledger – process payment runs to suppliers * Experience of sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control * Experience of managing bank cheques and standing orders * Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations * Preparation of month end – management accounts * The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines * Preparations and submissions of VAT returns * A keen eye for detail is a must with excellent problem solving skills * Knowledge of management accounts desirable but not essential * You would become an integral part of the team so a team player attitude and a ‘can do’ attitude is a must.
