HR Manager & In-housing Solicitor

There are two post EIM can provide now which are HR Manager and In-housing solicitor.

1. HR Manager

The person will be reporting to the CEO and General Manager

Job Purpose / Summary:

The main purpose of the job is to manage the safety of the workforce and the development of a superior workforce. You will also be responsible for the development of the Human Resources Department for Elaine Investment Management Limited. You will implement an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance and encourage personal ongoing development of the team.


£24,000 - £35,000 pa

Working Location

Office Based at 2 Windmill Street, London, W1T 2HX, (West end)

Working Hours

40 hours a week

Personal Requirements

Excellent communications, diplomatic and organizational skills

The ability to work under pressure and with personnel from all levels.

Tact and ability to deal with difficult situations

Good budgeting and IT skills

Thorough and up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation.

Typing speed should be starting from 40 wpm.

Be able to communicate in Mandarin


Manage the use of recruiters and headhunters.

Review Applicants to evaluate if they meet the positions requirements

Conduct pre screening interviews.

Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.

Writing and forwarding rejection letters.

Interviewing and selecting employee’s onsite.

Preparing and sending offer packages

Perform other special HR projects as assigned.

Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, legal compliance.

Making alterations and deductions to monthly salary with accounts.


2. In House Solicitor

Job Purpose 

The main purpose of the role is to advise the company on legal issues relating to buying and selling residential/commercial property, tenancy agreements, wills and probate as well as any other matter that the company has to address. Carry out researches and inquiries on legal matters to assure that all of actions taken and any reached agreements benefit the company and its partner businesses. It will also be required that the company is represented in any trial in court and in settlement negotiations when necessary.

Job Requirements

Degree in Law (commercial or property litigation) 

Minimum 5 years experience 

Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently 

Excellent communication skills both in verbal and written

Typing speed should be starting from 40 wpm.

Have advanced leadership and organizational skills

Must have superior negotiating skills

Be resilient consistent, creative and efficient


Advise the company on the regulations and legal issues relating to individual cases.

Elaborate drafts of documents, letters and contracts, adjusting them to the current regulations as well as to company’s needs.

Negotiate on behalf of the company to assure the outlined goals are achieved.

Make research and analyze documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedure to be followed.

Supervise that the implementation of agreements are met.

Coordinate the activities and instruct of all individuals involved in legal issues of the company.

Lease with litigants and solicitors and attend meetings when required.

Act on behalf of the company in disputes and representing the company in court when required.

Instruct barristers or specialist advocates when they have to appear in court for complex disputes on behalf of the company.

Collect and prepare all the paperwork and files/ records to be handed to court.

Calculate claims for damages, compensation, maintenance, etc.

Be aware of any changes of law or new regulations that come into force through journals and law reports.

Provide advice and represent the CEO on private legal matters.
