Production Planner - Excel expert required! Tonbridge New position due to business growth! £22,000 - £23,000pa + free parking and pension Excellent role which will offer training and development. If you have an analytical mind and know how to use MS Excel inside out, this could be the role for you! The position reports to the Planning Manager and will work alongside another Production Planner. The Planning Team is responsible for the factory plan and ensuring that the factory has sufficient raw material and packaging to complete the daily needs of the business. Main Duties include 1. Responsible for creating the factory daily plan using as source data the sales history of the customer and in particular the last week's sales or if available the actual order. 2. Responsible for data entry and retrieval of all specified factory performance records and creating accurate timely KPI reports on a daily basis. 3. Responsible for monitoring the usage of raw materials each day against the standard usage determined from the production planning document. 4. To investigate and rectify where possible, any stock anomalies which arise both in Goods In and Despatch. 5. To advise of any significant variances on a daily basis, and also advise when there is a clear trend of non-standard usage. 6. To keep the production planning document up to date with any recipe amendments and additions as a result of new products. 7. To extend the production planning document to include packaging as well as raw materials monitoring. 8. To report on packaging as well as raw material variances. 9. To place raw material orders as demanded by the factory plan. 10. To undertake any other duties, which clearly fit with the role already, described, as required by the company. Essential Skills: · Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel · Strong organisation and planning skills in factory/manufacturing environment · Ability to think analytically and problem solve · Graduate desirable but not essential You will work 5 days out of 7 - currently one planner works Sunday to Thursday and the other works Tuesday to Saturday. Each planner currently works two 12 hour days per week with a 5.30am start (Sun/Mon or Fri/Sat), and three shorter days Tuesday to Thursday (5.30am to 3.00pm or 9am to 6pm approx).
