Senior Automation QA Engineer

My client, a leading global information assurance firm, is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer with a passion for quality assurance, focusing on the manual and automated functional and user acceptance testing of complex web applications.The successful candidate will work within the Web Performance division based in Leatherhead, Surrey, and will help provide independent performance monitoring and load testing services to over 500 blue chip clients, protecting over £5 billion of online revenues and testing over three million web pages every day.

Activities and responsibilities:

·You will be working in a dedicated product team providing all QA support for the project working closely with developers in an Agile team, taking a partially automated test environment to the next level, implementing a more structured automated process.

Analysing business requirements, defining test strategy, building test plans and developing test scripts.  This includes raising defects and working with developers to ensure efficient resolution.Provide estimates and updates to the QA and Development Managers to allow accurate project scheduling.Working with project team to provide Continuous Integration pipelineProviding technical leadership for other members of QA teamAssisting in defining test processes and standards for the company

Required competencies (in order of importance):

·Extensive experience of implementing test automation for web services and web applications

Advanced capabilities of test automation tools (ideally Selenium WebDriver, Protractor)Knowledge of programming languages (preferably JavaScript, PHP, JAVA)Database use (ideally MySQL) with SQL skillsExperience of functional testing of API (preferably JMeter)Working in continuous integration environment (preferably Jenkins)Experience of working in an Agile environmentExperience with ticketing and workflow systems (ideally Jira)Good technical awareness of development/test in LAMP environmentsAny performance or load testing experience would be beneficial
