Demand Planner

Permanent  for Belkin in Northamptonshire

Michael Page Procurement & Supply Chain alongside Belkin are looking for a Demand Planner for our partner based in Northamptonshire. The role is based in the Consumer Electronics sector and will require a candidate with 3 years knowledge in a similar function.

Role Description

The Demand Planner will provide a country wide market forecast to a targeted level of accuracy. Enabling the accuracy of out-looking, customer service and inventory objectives from within the Electronics sector. They will be pro-active in their approach and report into other business functions in order to improve Product management. The Demand Planner within this role is integral within the S&OP planning process and the ideal candidate will have worked in this type of environment previously. You will be required to deliver the following:

Providing a country based forecast to drive the business planning to ensure delivery of sales plans, customer services, cost and inventory.Building the sales forecast through the utilization of the planning tool. To build an accurate base forecast, and collaboration with sales and product management to add incremental promotional and new product introduction forecasts.Using all available intelligence from the market place (i.e. customer data) to analyse and recommend actions where forecast and inventories are out of balance.Communicating proactively to S&OP Planning, Sales, Product Management, Finance, and other teams on significant changes in forecasted demand to ensure appropriate actions are taken to maintain business performance.Participating fully in the EMEA S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process owning the forecasted demand for your responsible markets.Identifying opportunities to improve forecast accuracy KPIs, implement improvement plans and track results.Contributing to improving the EMEA Supply Chain process and systems by identifying improvement opportunities working with colleagues to deliver improvements.

Who we're looking for

The Demand Planner role for Consumer Electronics business Belkin based in Northamptonshire will require:

3 years experience in a similar function/industry.Experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry.A solid knowledge of the techniques, processes and systems involved in a European business.Assertive nature with excellent communication skills, particular to developing relationships with sales and product management teams.Ideally the candidate will also have experience of contribution to an S&OP / IBP planning environment.

The type of candidate we are looking for will demonstrate strong Demand Planning skills and experiences within a fast paced working environment. With a real can-do attitude the ideal candidate will be keen to progress and develop in a successful organisation. In addition to the above you will offer the following:

You have a good understanding of demand planning techniques, processes and systems within a European business.You need to be excellent in prioritizing, time management and have organisational skills.You are assertive with excellent influencing skills – and have in particular experience in developing effective relationships with sales and product management teams.You are excellent with numerical analysis and are a proficient user of MS Excel.

You will be able to demonstrate a track record of identifying process improvements, managing change and delivering quantifiable improvements in KPIs. Have experience of a dynamic, high SKU count consumer business and approach your work with a proactive and 'hands-on' style. Excellent communication skills will be essential to your success in this fast- paced business.
