Legal Secretary - Conveyancing

Permanent  for Hays in Oxford

My client is looking for an experienced Secretary to join them on a full time basis within their conveyancing team. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous legal secretarial experience and have an interest in property.Duties will include - - Word processing of documents and correspondence as directed by fee earners (digital and copy typing) - Preparation of conveyancing documentation including Transfer Deeds, Mortgages, Land Transaction Returns and Land Registry application forms - Submitting requests for searches and obtaining information from the Land Registry (Land Registry Portal) - Assisting fee earners with financial duties (e.g. preparing invoices and completion statements) - Attending to clients on the telephone and in person and providing refreshments for clients when appropriate - Setting up new files accurately and promptly on instructions from the fee earner - Dealing accurately with filing, storage and retrieval of clients' files in accordance with the Team's filing system - Managing diaries and making appointments - Providing support to other secretaries and fee earners as and when necessaryYou must have accurate and fast typing speeds and have strong secretarial, administrative and organisational abilities.
