North Based (Travel Required)Full Time

Job Purpose

To manage a People Administration Team to ensure correct payroll variances are made for Serco Private Sector on a monthly/weekly basis. Maintaining accuracy of process and ensuring all payrolls are compliant with all legislative and mandatory requirements. The role will also involve project work, process writing and Management Information reporting; coupled with financial reconciliation reports to each Private Sector contracts for department spend and budget management. Responsibilities:

To lead, motivate and develop a team of experienced HR & Payroll Advisors, Project Manager, Contract Specialist and Purchase Order/Procurement Specialist. To plan the workload for the year which will involve anticipating the impact of projects, supporting new bid due diligence, legislation and how to implement the changes, ensuring statutory and other deadlines are complied with.To undertake payroll reconciliation process and sign-off checking monthly on behalf of the Contract Director.Oversee the production of Contract of Employment to all Serco employees for private sector; ensuring all documentation issued is compliant to Serco Standards, Governing Principles and ACAS/CIPD guidelines.To perform problem analysis and resolution for HR systems and Payroll issues across Serco Private Sector account liaising with MyHR/Payroll and operation for best practice solutions.To create and implement effective and compliant processes, including Serco Management Systems, and to act as point of contact for internal and external audits.Ensure that the necessary processes and reporting (monthly and ad hoc) are in place in order to provide payroll variance services that satisfy service level agreements.To ensure all referencing and contracts of employment are issued and compliant with Business, Employment Law and FSA guidelines for Private Sector.Budget and reconciliation reports for Purchase Order/Procurement payments. Ensuring all request are compliant and in line with Serco guidelines.Redundancy Specialist ensuring end to end process is in place and carried out at all times/levels.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

A professional and enthusiastic individual who can remain calm under pressure, with a thorough knowledge of Payroll legislation and processes at a senior payroll position, such as Senior Payroll Manager or Supervisor.Experience of leading, coaching and developing a team of People Administrators.Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders' and have effective communication and time management skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment. Have strong project management skills.It and Systems experience particularly with Microsoft Excel and OfficeWith relevant qualifications to Master Degree or Degree level
