Serco Defence are the current holders of a Multi-activity Contract at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire which is home to the world renowned Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. The site also hosts the No 1 Air Control Centre (1ACC) and the Mobile Meteorological Unit (MMU).
In order to provide our continued support to this key contract, we are looking to appoint a Site Manager. As the senior Serco representative of RAF Scampton, this key role will be responsible for the overall management of the Multi-Activity Contract and the miscellaneous supporting contracts at the site including all Sub-Contracted Services. The role will report to the Contract Manager at RAF Cranwell, therefore regular travel between sites is involved.
Key Accountabilities:Maintain a close liaison with the DO and the Staff of RAF Scampton to ensure good relationsare maintained at all times.Act as the Scampton site Company Representative in day-to-day discussions with the Station Commander at RAF Scampton or any Member of his Staff.Participate in or to delegate an appropriate representative to attend Flight Safety Meetings, Health, Safety and Environmental Meetings and any similar forums to represent the interests of the Company.Ensure the good conduct of Serco Staff employed at RAF Scampton, that personnel comply with Station Standing Orders/Station Routine Orders where these deal with discipline and behaviour on the Station, or impact on Company Employees, or with Safety and Security.Meet periodically with the DO on strategic Contract development, and business matters, of mutual interest.Issuing Terms of Reference to his/her principal managers.

Qualifications and experience required:
The ideal candidate will be a strong relationship builder with excellent customer focus. You will have significant experience in management posts with a similar level and spread of responsibility including staff management and dealing with HR issues. You will also need to meet the following criteria:
-Be an ex-RAF Officer with suitable experience or have gained suitable experience through employment in the aviation industry or a Supply/Logistics environment.
-Knowledge of Quality Assurance as governed by AP 100C-10 or the ISO 9000 Standard is desirable.
-Full clean driving licence,
- IT literate with excellent communication skills
-Experience of managing budgets.
-Military Logistics (Supply) background would be desirable.
