Temporary Buyer - Indirect Procurement

Buyer – Temporary 3 – 6 months

Our Client requires an experienced Buyer to deal with indirect procurement. Reporting into a Team leader you will develop and implement procurement strategies and supply concepts for products/services; applying existing and global/regional contracts,

You will source suppliers, negotiate contracts or price agreements and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable, economic and competitive supply of products/services. You will plan, steer and control purchasing activities according to mandate and as business partner to requesting companies. Seek to bundle demand and approve or challenge Purchase Requisitions, as necessary. Maintain communication with internal business partners to understand their needs and expectations and good business contacts with suppliers and control contractual relationships. Support the Procurement Verbund Concept; use defined procurement tools and processes, implement standards and best practices and apply Procurement Guidelines and KPIs. Actively participate in Hub meetings, workshops and PV Teams as required.

The ideal candidate will be a high achiever who has excellent communication skills, is confident, assertive and an outgoing team player the ability to build relationships and gain cooperation (strong customer focus). An entrepreneurial thinking and acting (able to make decisions, prioritize, organise work, with minimum of supervision, result driven) and the ability to work under pressure.

Our client requires the ideal candidate to have the following qualifications, skills and experience;-

Honours Degree in chemical/structural/mechanical engineering or a commercial/business fieldExcellent analytical skills, to include ability to analyze and communicate conclusions from large datasetsHighly developed interpersonal skills – ability to communicate clearly and build professional relationshipsFormal procurement qualifications (ie. CIPS) an advantageEnglish SpeakerFull Driving LicensePrepared to travel through Europe as required

Working Monday to Thursday 8:45am – 5:15pm and Friday 8:45am – 4:45pm our client offers a very professional working environment and free parking.
