With its headquarters in Edinburgh, Wood Mackenzie also has offices in London, Houston, New York, Boston, Moscow, Beijing, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney and currently employs over 950 people.Role PurposeThe role covers our UK company and requires someone with experience in an accounts payable role who will be confident dealing with all levels of employees within the business.Duties:Accounts Payable• Processing payable invoices, ensuring approval process has been followed.• Processing weekly employee expenses, including checking to ensure they adhere to the Corporate Travel and Entertainment Policy.• Arrange weekly payruns, including sending out remittances.• Maintaining creditor information in Great Plains.• Dealing with creditor and employee queries with regards to invoices and payments.PO System• Monitor PO system and be first point of call for any issues.• Train other employees on how to use the system.Employee time/expense recording system• Add and maintain users in Great Plains, PDK, and Business Portal.• Setting up new internal project codes for users.• Train new employees how to use the system.The successful candidate will also be required to assist other team members as necessary to ensure consistency of smooth operations within the Finance Team.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceCandidates should have proven experience of working in a similar role(s) and training in a corporate business environment. The successful candidate should have knowledge of general accounting procedures; be proficient in data entry and management and have the ability to take initiative, provide customer service in a fast-paced environment, act as a self-starter and have excellent organisation skills.
