Serco is currently recruiting for 2 Domestic Service Assistants based at Aldeburgh Community Hospital. Both of these are part time positions, 1 x15 hours 1 x 18 hours. This role reports directly to the Facilities Officer. The Domestic Assistants role will be to ensure the high standard of cleaning in all areas of the medical centre.

Principal DutiesReport directly to the Facilities Officer, compiling with instructions received. Report any faults and defects that come to your attention.Ensure the proper standards of cleanliness and hygiene not only personally but across the Domestic DepartmentTo be aware of and able to practice the Trust's policies and procedures pertaining to Fire, Health and Safety, First Aid, Security, untoward incidents in general and to the specific working location in particular.Attend training sessions as requiredTo be familiar with C.O.S.HHMaintain good communications and co-operations with all departments, acting in a professional manner at all times.Observe the correct use and care of equipmentReplenish supplies in all allocated areas to ensure stocks are maintained at all prescribed levels.Work with chemicals and equipment required ensuring they are kept and maintained correctly.Understand the importance of client confidentiality.Assist with the moving of manageable furnitureClean sanitary and service areas and offices in accordance with schedules and requirementsThe Domestic Assistant will be required to maintain health and safety and security of themselves and others.Domestic Assistants will be required to maintain and develop an environment and culture which improves health, safety and security
Key Skills and QualificationsExperience working within a similar role would be beneficial although not necessary.Knowledge of C.O.S.H.H.Understanding of Health and Safety, Fire, First AidThis position will involve you working with children or vulnerable adults and will therefore be subject to a Disclosure Barring Service Clearance
