Managing Consultant - Senior Solution Architect

The SSD Service Line has primary focus on direct and indirect external work but also supports 'big ticket' bids and strategic change programmes within Serco, utilising a proven Service Solutions Framework as a core method for its engagements and also seeks to develop its reputation as a Thought Leader in the external market.
The current SSD team consists of experienced consultants who work directly with clients to find solutions that create new value by designing new service solutions or assessing improvements in existing service operations. With particular strengths in Shared Services, BPO, Front Line Outsourcing and Transactional Services our solutions achieve transformation that adds value directly to the front line business.

Reporting to the Service Line Director for Service Solutions Delivery within Serco Consulting the successful candidate will be flexible and innovative with demonstrable experience in shared services and/or business process outsourcing with a track record in solution architecture and design.
The successful candidate must display the capabilities required to lead delivery teams; take the lead role in developing BPO solutions at pre-sales, sales pursuit, and consulting delivery stages; and possess significant problem solving, innovation, team leading and client management skills.
Additionally as a Managing Consultant the successful candidate will require the credibility and capabilities required to contribute to the leadership of the Service Line and will require a proven ability to meet a sales revenue target, with the necessary understanding and experience to effectively lead consulting bid teams; ITT responses and other sales and business development activities.
It is expected that to perform in this role and challenging environment you will require the following skills, attributes and experience:Experience in shared service design, implementation and operationExperience in BPO solutions and/or customer contact solutions design, implementation and operationsSector experience preferably Local Government and/Health - in terms of private sector Retail experience preferred (at Managing Consultant level you must have Local Government or Health experience)Demonstrable experience in Consulting - preferably within a recognised Consultancy with big4 being attractive and niche or SME consultancies are also of interest. (if only consulting experience is as a contractor/independent, then our preference is that all other experience and criteria requested need to be exceptional)Consultative style and ability to establish credibility with senior stakeholdersInsight into BPO, customer contact &/or shared service transformation and ability to develop thought leadershipDemonstrable track record of sales in a Consulting environment - selling consultingEvidence of strong experience in leading Consulting engagements at a senior level in the Shared Services/BPO/Customer Contact arena.
