Casual Domestic Assistant

Part Time  for Serco in Felixstowe

Domestic Assistant X2 Felixstowe Community Hospital, Suffolk Casual Contract, Flexible Hours Monday- Sunday 7am-7pm

Serco are currently looking to recruit 2 Domestic Assistant's to work at the Felixstowe Community Hospital in Suffollk. The contract is a 0 hour contract with flexible working hours Monday- Sunday 7am- 7pm. Your role will be to ensure a high standard of cleaning in all areas of the hospital. The post-holder will be responsible to use cleaning materials as instructed, and be aware of the Health and Safety Policy, reporting any issues of concern to Facilities Officer.

Felixstowe Community Hospital is in the centre of the town. It includes the Croydon Unit, which is a 16-bedded inpatient unit offering rehabilitation services. The team includes modern matron, nurses, occupational and physiotherapists, social workers, GPs and generic workers.

Main duties:

Reporting all incidents/accidents to the Facilities Officer on duty.Feeding back information as and when necessary to the Facilities Officer in Charge.To replenish supplies in all allocated areas to ensure stocks are maintained at the prescribed levels.To request chemicals and equipment required from your Facilities Officer and to maintain and store in the store cupboard as provided.Report sightings of pests.Any other duties as may be delegated by the Facilities Officer.To sign in and out at the commencement and end of each shift.To understand the importance of client confidentiality.Cleans sanitary and service areas and offices, in accordance with schedules and requirements.Uses and cares for cleaning tools, equipment and materials as specified.To work to cleaning schedules.Maintains security of building.To assist with moving of manageable furniture.To hang curtains.Removal of rubbish and Clinical Waste.To assist with the transport of essential goods.To work at satellite sites as requested.To operate carpet-cleaning machinery.

Education and Experience

NVQ 2 in cleaning is an advantageKnowledge of cleaning an advantageGood knowledge of NHS Policies and Procedures
