BO DEVELOPER (Business Objects) /DBA

REDDITCH, WORCESTERSHIRE

UP TO £45,000

This leading receivables management business has an impressive portfolio of blue chip companies for whom they handle debt recovery. They are now recruiting a BO (Business Objects) Developer/DBA to join their expanding MI (Management Information) department.

The Business Objects Developer’s main responsibilities will be:

·Design and manage various Universes for specific areas of the business

·Build a dash board and using BO Data Services, design and build a data warehouse from the various data sources within the business

·Create Business Objects documents from minimal specifications and loosely defined requirements

·Work with business customers to understand their reporting needs and deliver Business Objects reports/dashboards to meet them

·Follow best practices regarding version control and testing specifications

·Writing free-hand Microsoft SQL/Oracle statements and validate reports against database

·Manage and maintain data warehouse

To be successful as a BO Developer you must have:

·Knowledge of SQL Server is a key requirement

·Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Business Objects R4 version

·Business Objects web Intelligence/Universe/Data services development experience

·Experience with other Business Objects tools e.g. Explorer, Crystal reports

·Design, development and testing using Business Web Intelligence (V4)

·Data modelling using dimensional data modelling, Star Schema modelling, Snow flake modelling, FACT and Dimension tables

·Experience of complex Webi, Deski and Crystal reports with multiple data providers, unions and database functions
