A building and refurbishment company specialising in residential refurbishments, commercial fit-outs and insurance restoration projects are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team. Key criteria Must be qualified e.g. Bsc (Hons) Construction or HND/HNCExperience in building insurance e.g. A contracts manager who has has experience with residential properties in regards to insurance claims. Long periods of time in employment Experience in refurbishment from a residential and/or commercial background Experience in structural and repair work The ideal candidate would have the above experience or a graduate who is driven and willing to learn. DutiesOversee projects from start through to completion, ensuring work is on time and within budget - working on multiple projects residential and commercial refurbishments Reporting to the MD, the Contracts Manager is the first point of contact for the public, site managers and sub-contractors for as long as the contract lasts. Negotiating sub-contract orders and monitoring sub-contractors and planning critical datesHelping to resolve any disputes and identifying areas for improvement.
