Salary circa £26,000 per annum depending on experience, plus company van

Full Time with manager on-call rota

Holiday 23 days + 8 Bank Holidays

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the planning and organisation of the engineer response team activities at their South West division based in Plymouth.

You will ensure that the teams have the correct equipment and information to complete all works safely and efficiently as well as ensuring that work is completed within the required timescale.An ability to schedule work to ensure maximum productivity and optimum asset usage is essential. You will also be responsible for all vehicles and plant, making sure that they are calibrated and serviced correctly with the support of the Transport division in Manchester. You will also be responsible for all site based H&S thus experience in this field is preferred also operational delivery experience is key. This role includes site supervision for which a company van is provided but will be mainly office-based.

IT literate, with good customer service skills, you will have the ability to supervise teams and have good planning and basic estimating skills

Drainage experience is vital for this role.

Service industry or reactive maintenance experience or experience within the Facilities maintenance / Construction / Civil Engineering / waste or utilities industries is preferable, along with Health and Safety knowledge.

A Full Driving licence is required, HGV licence being an advantage.
