Female Support Worker

A not-for-profit organisation, our client provides support services for people with disabilities. They are a leader in the sector, supporting over 3,000 people and their families in England and Wales.

They are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Female Support Worker to work in a supported living and in the community for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role:

The Role will involve:

• Manual handling

• Personal care

• Supporting people to get out and about in the community and take part in activities such as attending music festivals, theatre visits, shopping and going to the cinema amongst other things

• Supporting people to take their medication

• You will be required to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

About You:

They are looking for someone who:

• Is responsible

• Is motivated

• Is energetic to allow the people they support to take part in activities

• Is trustworthy

• Has good communication skills

• In addition, a car driver would be preferred.
