Office Angels currently has an exciting opportunity to work as a Chef Manager and to be fully accountable for the co-ordination and delivery of the catering service. As the Chef Manager you will provide coverage in the kitchen on the weekly rota including weekends where required. Main responsibilities within this role include: - To lead, motivate and supervise teams of qualified and support staff including volunteers - Managing the personnel requirements of the departments with regard to staff selection, recruitment, development, deployment, performance review, absence management and disciplinary and grievance procedures - To co-ordinate the preparation, production and service of all food - To demonstrate high standards of service and ensure this is continued by all staff - To support and cooperate with any quality audits carried out. - To ensure that the required standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained - To conform to current health and safety, infection control and COSHH regulations. - To be adaptable and flexible to cope with changing situations or emergencies. - To keep abreast of current developments with regard to food safety and handling. - Actively participate in business planning and the development of the department through both strategic and operational improvement and development. - To maintain department within agreed budgetary levels - To ensure resource management via temporary staff, maintenance requests, selection and ordering of equipment, food and supplies. - Manage the performance of the department against agreed Key Performance Indicators: - Staff man hours/establishments - Food and consumable costs - Staff and patient satisfaction - To ensure food costs and staffing costs remain within budget and meet monthly key performance indicators (KPI's). - To be involved with the preparation and monitoring of the budget for the department. To be successful in this role you will need the following attributes: · Catering qualifications · Current intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate · Previous experience in a supervisory / managerial role · Costing knowledge · Food cost control · Understanding of health and Safety legislation · Working knowledge of HACCP In return you will receive excellent benefits including free on-site parking, private healthcare, and much more.
