My client, a forward thinking, thriving lettings company situated in the heart of Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team
You will manage monthly business accounts, provide management reports to aid Directors’ decision making and oversee the Management Assistant in the day to day running of landlord/tenant property software accounts (CFP).
Requirements3-4 yrs experience in Book-keeping.Experience working on Letting Agent property database very useful.Attention to detail essential.
DutiesPay business contractorsManage Petty CashQuarterly VAT returns Staff expensesLiaise with accountants to create Year End Accounts, Corporation Tax etcPay NI and TaxEnter in QuickBooks monthly income produced from reports on Property SoftwareGenerate monthly client bank accounts report & input summary figures to QBReconcile bank accounts in QuickBooksManage Assistant
Excel Tasks-Manage Factoring accounts for Maintenance Manager-Generate Factoring Invoices (requires updating procedure)-Investigate benefits of new Factoring Software-Manage communal repairs accounts for Maintenance Manager
Short Term Database-Manage Short Term Lets accounts for Short Term Let Manager -Receipting rents and paying Landlords-Paying contractors-Refunding Deposits-Reconciling CFP to Bank Statements
Long Term Database
-General oversight of rental payments in and landlord & contractor paymentsout.-Produce Landlord Annual Statements -Reporting: -Monthly Property Management report; -Monthly property count-Agency fees report – transfer funds between accounts.-CFP Bank Reconciliation – reconcile bank statements to CFP statements
