Procurement Category Manager

Permanent  for Support Services Group in Germany

Category Manager - 60-70k Euros+ company car + 20% bonus + full benefits scheme

We are recruiting for an experienced procurement Category Manager to come on board for our global client. Along with this exciting opportunity, they provide excellent career prospects and a highly competitive salary and package.

The purpose of the role is to provide commercial advice and authorisation of contracts, purchase commitments and expenditure within the organisation. Value of expenditure is likely to be around £20 million per year, with some large single contracts.

Responsibilities -

·Analysis of procurement spend

·Analysis of existing supply base

·Supplier assessment

·Identify service level agreements

·Development of new processes and procedures for the company’s purchasing systems and identifying category specific requirements

·Preparation of pre tender and tender documents

·Identification of both internal and external cost drivers

Requirements -

·Experienced procurement professional

·Ideally CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) and/or degree qualified

·Prior experience working in a large organisation or multi site environment

·Able to demonstrate management of a procurement category

·Strong people and stakeholder management ability

·Excellent analytical skills

·German language skills are essential

·Willingness to travel within Europe from time to time
