Salary £19,644.74- £25,200.38 per annum

We’re now looking for someone with experience gained within a busy FE environment to join our Trade Union Education Team as a Business Development Support Officer.

This role is vital for providing support to the team to ensure that budget, quality and operational targets are met. You’ll be managing local business and stakeholder partnerships, TUC national partnerships and be delivering targeted marketing and social media campaigns to advertise what we can offer.

Duties will include application and development of software to enhance Moodle online classrooms and have the ability to use a range of educational software packages (including Articulate) to support student development, partner requirements and business needs. Because of this, the successful person must either have or be willing to develop further skills in IT packages that are needed to support and develop the Trade Union Education Departments Project, for example Microsoft Project.

Key elements of this role will include liaison with current stakeholders and business development with partners such as unionlearn, the TUC, Trade union affiliates and key stakeholders such as the City Council and other FE institutions supported by the Trade Union Education (TUED) department. This is alongside developing and supporting new partnerships and business projects across the northwest region.

Our new Business Development Support Officer will come to us with a track record of effective team support and the ability to work efficiently as part of a busy team. With experience of working with VLEs (Moodle 2), educational software and social media that can support business needs, you’ll also need to have project and event management experience.

An all-rounder, this role will suit someone who is used to working in a busy FE environment and who either already has, or is willing to learn, a range of software packages to aid the delivery of the team’s objectives.
