The West London Alliance is a unique parking service where Ealing, Brent and Hounslow councils have joined forces to create the first and biggest parking service of its kind in the country.
As the CCTV Service Manager you will be responsible for up to 5 CCTV Supervisors. Your primary responsibilities will be;Manage on a day to day basis the effective operation of a WLA CCTV control room ensuring compliance with codes of practice including subject access, storage and release of tapes, recording of incidents, destruction of tapes, audit of operation and repair and maintenance.Take responsibility for and ensure the most effective, yet cost efficient, working of the control room.To further develop and co-ordinate the partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service, Town Centre Management and other relevant agencies in relation to CCTV matters (Community Safety and Parking & Traffic Enforcement) Responsible for deployment of Mobile CCTV vehicles ensuring optimum deployment patterns (to ensure their presence at any one site does not become predictable) and to maximise PCN issuance.
As the successful candidate you will be able to evidence previous team management experience to include all aspects of performance management.
You will have a good understanding and knowledge of Parking legislation and policies and knowledge of the workings of a Local Government Parking Service. You will have a detailed knowledge of analogue and digital CCTV systems including transmission methods, IP networking and digital recording criteria and an ability to manage a CCTV maintenance contract.
You will have gained previous experience in setting work programmes for teams and individuals, and delivering work programmes to performance levels within timescales.
As a leader of people you will be able to engage and motivate your teams therefore strong communication skills, problem resolution and decision making skills are essential. You will have sound IT skills and be able to manage systems to improve efficiency
Other FactorsYou may be required to attend evening meetings. You may be required to work flexible hours on a 24 hour per day, 365 days per year shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays if required.You are required to hold a BTEC Level 2 CCTV qualification by the end of your probationary period.
