RAF Alconbury is currently a non-flying facility under the control of the United States Air Force. Alconbury is home to 501st Combat Support Wing (501 CSW), and Serco plays a crucial role in helping to facilitate the various geographically separated units in the UK.
Reporting to the Serco TMO Supervisor, the Traffic Management Customer Service Advisor coordinates the movement of personal property and arranges passenger travel for US military personnel relocating to and from the UK.
Key duties and Responsibilities:Acting as the first point of contact - you will need to assess the customer's relocation requirements and entitlementsCoordinate the shipment of personal property and movement of personnel - determined by strict procedures for which meticulous attention to detail is requiredPerform individual briefings and inspection of personal property to ensure compliance with US Agriculture and worldwide country entry requirements and restrictionsYou will be required to travel to the customer's residence to carry out these inspections. Will be required to operate left hand drive vehicles (full training will be provided)Maintain excellent interpersonal skills at all times as you will be dealing with customers.The ability to multi-task to assist in other contracted areas - learning various roles and skills, for which training will be provided.You will be responsible for the safe custody of Customer and Serco owned equipment.Any other contractual duties as required by the Operations Supervisor or Site Manager.
