They are now looking for a Client Unit/Communications Engineer to join their team at their site in Heathrow. Reporting to the Client Unit Team Leader the successful candidate will be responsible for the project delivery, installation, service and maintenance of communications equipment onsite as well as in vehicles. This position is primarily based at Heathrow however you will also be expected to travel and work at Gatwick when required.Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be willing to undergo DBS checks as well as high level security clearance in order to gain an airside pass. Although not essential, this may be well suited to candidates coming from an (ex-military) background i.e. Army (Royal Signals), Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF) career are encouraged to apply, especially those with a communications engineering (Radio) background. Responsibilities:- Ensure Customers requests (Moves, Adds, Changes or Cancellations) are delivered within expected timeframes.- Carry out System Performance and Reliability Testing (SPARs) on deployed infrastructure throughout the airport within expected timeframes.- Assist in the installation of equipment and services onsite including Radio equipment and telematics into vehicles.- Provide the necessary skills to ensure that the overall performance of the Client Delivery Unit meets: customer service level requirements, operational performance targets, financial objectives, & product compliance criteria.- Maintain customer satisfaction as per set targets and objectives. - Ensure that everything carried out within the Client Unit adds value for the customer.- Ensure each and all functions within the Client Unit operate in compliance with all SHEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality) & legal.- Take ownership of individual customer requests and escalate at appropriate levels- Actively promote the company and the products supplied & supported within the customer base- Ensure all Client activities are reported to the Client Unit Team Leader on a weekly basis- Ensure all documentation of project delivery is completed to an agreed satisfactory level and in a timely manner.Applicant Requirements:- Must have experience with radio communications equipment.- Excellent Radio knowledge (preferable). - Experience in managing customer relationships.- Experience in delivering projects to agreed timescales.- IT Literate – Word, Excel.- Experience in program handportable radio templates (preferable).- Experience in radio installation.- Excellent client facing experience.- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.- Flexible approach – willing to work early/late shifts covering a 7 day rota.- IT literate.- Hold full driving licence.Benefits:- £Competitive Salary.- Monday to Friday 8am – 4.15pm.- 20 days holiday rising with service to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 statutory days.- Company Pension Scheme.- Opportunity to join an established company and work in a challenging and varied environment.
